Function Principle
Vibratory screens operate by generating vibrational energy that causes the material on the screen to move and stratify. The screen mesh, usually made of woven wire or perforated plates, is mounted on a vibrating frame or deck. As the screen vibrates, the material is agitated and moves across the screen surface. Larger particles stay on top and are conveyed toward the discharge, while smaller particles pass through the mesh, separating the materials into distinct fractions.
The vibration is typically generated by a motor with an offset weight, creating an elliptical or linear motion that helps to convey the material while allowing for effective separation. The frequency and amplitude of the vibration can be adjusted to suit the material properties and the desired output.
